Saturday Evening; Raclette at the Belangers!

So Saturday Evening we were invited over to the Belanger House for dinner. We had Raclette and wine and it was great.
The Wingfields were there along with Fred's parents.
So I took a few pictures while we were there.

Friday Evening!

Ella Helping Momma make lunch for Daddy. She's actually having fun with her baby Koa.
Ella with Daddy before he left for his game.
Audrey came over to play with Ella.

Here's little Miss Audrey Belanger. All smiles as usual.

Jakers riding on Mountain, Ella's cow.

Ella wanting to get out of her chair and Audrey just enjoying the camera.

So Ange, Sara and the kids came over and we ordered Pizza, hung out for a while and just talked about everything and nothing. I guess that's the norm for when girls get together.

The kids were all awesome. Jakers and Audrey each fell asleep in their pack n plays and Ella just sat around with us. She didn't want to miss a thing.

We Started Off the Weekend With A Hat Show!

Welcome to Ella's Hat Show!
Here's Ella Pre-Hat Picture. Here you can see Ella wearing such a cute hat knit by Chandy. Isn't it just the cutest.
Now you can see Ella wearing a light cotton, pink hat. Great for arenas when it's just a bit cold.
Next you can see Ella wearing a beautiful hat given to her by Auntie Amber and Uncle Brian. Great for Spring and Fall.
Here you see Ella sporting a scarf like hat. This would be great in the summer to take Ella's head away from the sun.
Now Ella is wearing a winter hat, a little big but should me great for next winter.
And finally, the yellow hat. Great for winter but Ella didn't like. That's okay because neither did I.
So this concludes Ella's little Hat Fashion Show.
Hope you enjoyed!

BLUE EYES!

Ella has the bluest eyes. If she keeps them, she got them from her grandmas. Here's Ella smiling playing in her Baby Einstein Activity Center again. She just loves that thing. Thank goodness for the activity center. I get to get things done while she plays in it.

Ella ignoring the camera. I kept wanting her to look at the camera but she wouldn't have it.
Here's Ella practicing her stomach position. Boy she doesn't like this. Eh Grandmaman? Ella had the biggest fit when we were at grandmaman's house the other day. Just because I had her on her stomach. Grandmaman said "Boy is she ever mad." Ella wouldn't stop screaming just because I had her on her stomach. So here is a picture of her not freaking, that came a little later, after this picture was taken.
Just resting, getting ready to nap. Look at those blue eyes again.
Yes you all saw right, she has just discovered that she can suck on her thumb. She use to suck on her hand but never her thumb. Today we went walking at the mall and I looked to see if she was sleeping but she wasn't, she was just sucking her thumb. I thought it was a fluke but then she did it again 4-5 times this evening. Daddy was so impressed he had to call Mammy to let her know. Hopefully she doesn't keep sucking her thumb. You can't take away a thumb, like you can a paci.
Well that's it for now.

Just Hanging Out!

Ella Just Hanging Out!
For two days, Ella would not sleep during the day. So when it was time for bed she was so tired she would cry herself to sleep. It was hard for us. One night she cried 5 minutes and the other 7. But last night she fell asleep without crying. Thank goodness! It was so heartbreaking for us.
Ange thinks Ella was going through a growth spurt. It would make sense because she was eating more and my books say there is normally a growth spurt around 3 months.
Well that's all for now.

Ella's Hockey Game!!

Here's a Picture of Ella just before the Game. Doesn't she look the cutest in her sweater? Here's Ella in Mammy's arms just before the game. I had to get everything organized. You can't just bring your coat when you have a baby. I don't know how you hockey wives did it for so many years. Especially when you have more than one. Bless your hearts.
Here's Ella and Momma in during
Here's Ella and Momma during the second period. We couldn't get her to look at the camera, she was too preoccupied watching the game.
She was great at the game. She had a little power nap with 5 minutes to go in the second and was up by the time the third started. She did so well. I'm so proud of her. She did get a bit scared of the sounds but she'll have to get use to it.
During first intermission we went over to see Ange, Audrey, Sara and Jakers. Everyone looked great. Ange was wearing a hat. It looked great, and she thought all hats looked bad on her.
So Sly gave Freddy his second goal of the season after having given him his first. Congrats Freddy! It may not have been the prettiest goal but it was a goal. (haha) So St.Hyacinthe ended up winning 6-5 in overtime and Sly had 66 shots. We figure they didn't count about 6-8 of them so he had over 70 shots.
Needless to say Sly smelled like burnt rubber after the game.
I hope all is good with everyone.

It's cold out!

Winter is here and it's cold outside. So Ella and I stayed in Yesterday. Today is Ella's big day. We are going to attempt to attend a hockey game once more.
Yesterday was a quiet day at home. Ella's only excitment for the day was bath time where she got to kick her feet and get momma all wet.
She also spent some time in her activity center where she coohed and ahhed away. It was so cute watching her. She's also starting to make noises when she smiles, almost like she wants to giggle.
I'll take some pictures of Ella at the game and i'll post them tomorrow.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Ella's Day!

Ella having a nap after we'd been shopping. Yes, we were shopping again. The mall is the best place for Ella and I to get out walking when it's -20 outside. Now we can say that winter has officially begun.
So after I got dinner started, Ella got her bath. Boy does she ever love bath time.
Here's Ella out of the bath, rolls and all. No one can say this baby isn't fed.
Ella in her PJs right after her bath. Momma jacked her socks up over her PJs. That color looks so good on her. It makes her eyes stand out even more.
This picture is a little odd because I took it while Ella was laying on the floor and I was standing. But look at those blue eyes. Aren't they just gorgeous? We don't know if they're going to stay that way or if they're going to change.
So Momma went to the gym. First time back since having Ella. Holy does she need to work on her cardio. Haven't run in over a year.
So Ella stayed with Papa and spent some quality time with him alone.
Ella with her Turtle again. She just loves her turtle.
I told you she loved her turtle. Our little girl is getting bigger and can definately grab at things now. She doesn't attempt to grab at much but if you lay her by her turtle watch out.
Here's Ella after her last bottle. She was in bed not long after that and slept a nice 8 1/4 hours. She's such an Angel. (knock on wood)
Today we are going to stay in because we have a big day ahead of us tomorrow. Ella is going to a hockey game. We aren't sure who is coming with us except for Julie and Jason. We are planning on going to see Audrey, Ange, Jakers and Sara during intermission.
Hope all is well with everyone.

What Do You Want?

" What do you want Momma?", is probably what Ella's thinking. I'm constantly taking pictures of her. She is changing so much, it's crazy. I look back at the pictures of her as a newborn and I can't believe how much she's grown.
This weekend we are going to attempt to go to one of Sly's Games. Hopefully Ella will do better than she did last time. Last time she slept through the whole game and didn't sleep that night. I can't wait to see how she'll do.

Ella And Her Friend Audrey!!

Ella just waking up from her nap. She's still pretty sleepy in the picture.
I'd like to introduce Ella's friend, Audrey. For those of you who don't know, her parents are Angela and Fred Belanger. He plays for the Saint-Francois de Sherbrooke and Ange is from Halifax.
So this afternoon we us girls all got together and ran a few errands. We went to Costco and then to the mall.
Once we were done at the mall Audrey and Ange came over to the house for a bit. In the picture above Ella is a little pooped out so she was starting to fuss.
They're going to have much more fun together once Ella is bigger. Right now being 5 1/2 months seems like ages.
Later,

Ella Milestone!!

Ella can now reach for things. In the pictures you can see her playing in her Baby Einstein Activity Center. She's grabbing at her turtle. She played in there for over an hour today just smiling at her turtle. Sometimes I'd like to know what's going through her head? "Look at me I can touch the turtle!"
She also likes to look at herself in the mirror that's attached to her Activity Center.

Ella's been really sleepy today. We spent a night at Mammy's this weekend and it always seems to throw her off a bit. Not sure if it's the sleeping over part or if it's the being passed around from arms to arms. She's not use to seeing that many people. For the last two weeks it had only been Ella, Mom and Dad. I think she's happy to be back in her things.
She slept 9 1/2 hours last night. What a Champ!!
Dad's playing hockey tonight in St.Jean. Hopefully the team will be able to come together and get a win. They were winless last weekend.
Take Care,
-S

Ella 3 Months Today!!

Happy 3 Months Ella!
Our little princess is getting older. She is so big. We never did have a small baby. She just keeps getting bigger and bigger everyday.
Yesterday my friend Ange and I went to the Clinic to have Audrey and Ella weighed and she weighed in at a whopping 16lbs, 12ozs. Yes you read right 16lbs, 12 ozs. No one can say she isn't fed. Like i've said before this girl loves her milk. She drinks on average 31-33ozs a day.

I can't believe that she is already 3 months old. She is changing so fast. She is now in her drooling stage. Some days you could mistake her for a Saint-Bernard. One of her new things is to suck on her hands. We really think her teeth are coming in. I had teeth when I was four months so it is possible.

She loves smiling and will smile to anyone who will give her the time of day. If she doesn't smile at you, there must be something wrong with you. She's also been chatting up a storm. Oohhing and Ahhing away. She loves to mimic us when we ahh.

*She is already into 6-9 month clothes. At Children's place she is into 12 month pants. They're a little long but they're just right around her belly.

*She loves watching hockey. Put a baby Einstein movie in and she may watch it for 10 minutes but put a hockey game on and you won't hear her until it's a commercial.

*She loves playing in her baby Einstein Activity Center. She can stay there for an hour before she gets bored. This is good for me because I can get some stuff done around the house while she's playing.

*She still adores bath time. It's probably her favorite thing to do. As long as the water is warm enough she won't complain. We have a little diva in our hands. She doesn't like the bath unless it's between 38 and 38.5 degrees. She won't drink her milk if it cools down too much. If she doesn't drink it fast enough, we have to warm it up for her if we want her to finish. She is already quite demanding. We aren't looking forward to the teenage years. (LOL)

Aren't her pjs just the cutest? The Blackneds sent them to us along with lots of other goodies. Thanks again to Cynthia and Brant.

Well that's it for the Ella update.

We hope all is well with everyone.
